Jim Wicks – The founding Pastor of The Community of Adsideo.
In the fall of 2006 Jim and his wife Gina along with a handful of other missional folks stepped out on an epic adventure desiring to be led by God in the neighborhood of Sellwood/Moreland. They along with their boys Jacob and Jeremiah seek to live intentionally organic lives, inviting others to discover the mystery and fullness of living the God-life. Jim is an ordained elder in the Church of the Nazarene and received a B.S. in Social Science from Lewis/Clark State College and an A.A. in Religion from Northwest Nazarene College. After working almost ten years in the Social Science field, Jim felt compelled to become an adventurer in the wilderness of re-visioning the Church. Together Jim and Gina seek to lead a peace insurgency and work from within to bring harmony and beauty to this somewhat forgotten vision that God had for injustice. Believing it is time for the Church to envision a new/old polemic in regards to injustice, they seek to become advocates for the voiceless, brokenhearted, disenfranchised, and the forgotten. Jim is a contributing author, pioneering leader in the Nazarene church, and a visionary for the parish-based movement.
